Product information

Established in the late 1870s by Charles Gush’s father, Samuel, the business started as a baker and grocer in Exminster, Devon, before expanding as General Merchants. Their services included the collection of coal from local sidings and distribution by lorry, and it operated through the 1950s and ‘60s.

Three wooden-bodied wagons were acquired for the movement of coal, numbered 10, 20 and 30. Our 5 Plank Wagon model replica is a faithful example of No.20 and the perfect addition to your freight model railway.
